NEW INDIA PLEDGE 2017- CEREMONY

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) celebrate the 75th year of “Quit India Movement” and 70th year of Indian Independence. In commemoration of the great events and sacrifice of our devoted freedom fighters and the vision of our Honorable Prime Minister to have a terrorism- free, caste- free, corruption- free, uncleanness- free, and poverty- free society, a pledge taking ceremony has been organized by MHRD and AICTE.
Accordingly, “New India Pledge 2017 taking ceremony” has been organized on the 9th of August 2017 at 9.30 a.m. in GCE, Dharmapuri for commemorating the above events and taking a pledge. The Principal of GCE, Dharmapuri presided over the ceremony. All HODs, faculty members, non- teaching staff members and around 800 students participated in the event.
New India Pledge 2017 which includes the vision of the Honorable Prime Minister was taken by all. As it is said “Every Initiation becomes a Mission”, this event induced the young minds to march towards India’s vision and make it a real one. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks.

FRESHERS’ DAY celebration 01.09.2017
Government College of Engineering organized a fresher’s day programme on the first of September, 2017, to welcome the first year students of all branches. The meeting was organized under guidance and president ship of the Principal, Dr. P.Thamarai.
The Heads of all the departments, the faculties of all branches, administrative staff members and the parents of first year students attended the meet.
The main purpose of this meet was to let the students and parents know the scope of Engineering programmes, provisions provided by the Government to the Engineering students , welfare schemes, availability of the Faculties and facilities(Infrastructure, Labs, Hostels).
