An announcement was made by the Honorable then Chief Minister on 23.08.2016 in Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly under Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly rule 110 regarding the establishment of study centre for Indian Engineering Services Examinations.

NSS unit functions under the guidance of Anna University. The main objective ofthis scheme is to groom young men and women for their roles as responsible Indian citizens.

A spacious auditorium with a 250-seat capacity is available.

A Guest House with 6 rooms with attached bathrooms and a dining hall caters to the needs of visitors and guests.
