The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Coimbatore Branch Office organized an industrial visit to ESSVEE Wires India Private Limited, Salem on 17th December 2025 for II and III Year Electrical and Electronics Engineering students of the Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri. 

A total of 30 students and 3 faculty members participated in the visit and gained valuable insights into the various standards and manufacturing processes of wires followed in the industry.

The visit provided practical exposure and enhanced the students’ understanding of real-world industrial practices.

We are delighted to share that DHARMAHACK 2026, the Hackathon Valedictory Function and Prize Distribution ceremony, was successfully conducted at the Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri. 

The event celebrated innovation, creativity, and technical excellence showcased by the participants throughout the hackathon.

We are proud to share that the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri, successfully organized ELECTROX’26, a National Level Technical Symposium, on 12th February 2026. 

The event witnessed active participation and served as a platform for students to showcase their technical knowledge, innovation, and skills.

We are delighted to congratulate Mr. Nirmalkumar S, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri, on receiving the SWAYAM–NPTEL Brand Ambassador Recognition for his outstanding contribution as SPOC during Jul–Dec 2025.

This recognition highlights his instrumental role in strengthening the SWAYAM–NPTEL Local Chapter and actively promoting online learning initiatives.

We are proud to share that Ms. Hazeera S, a final-year student of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri, has secured an opportunity to pursue an International Internship at Pusan National University, South Korea, under the Naan Mudhalvan Scheme. 

This remarkable achievement reflects her academic excellence, dedication, and global competence.

The “மாபெரும் தமிழ்க் கனவு” programme was successfully conducted on 26th November 2025 at Government Engineering College, Dharmapuri, under the guidance of the Department of Collegiate Education.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members. The event featured Tamil Thai Vazhthu, a special address, and an inspiring guest lecture by Dr. Bharathi Krishnakumar, Writer and Scholar, followed by an interactive session with students. The programme effectively highlighted the richness of Tamil heritage, culture, and values.

The event concluded with positive feedback from the participants and stood as a meaningful initiative in fostering cultural awareness and pride among the student community.
