🎓 Fourth Graduation Day – 2026 | GCE Dharmapuri

We are pleased to invite our graduands, faculty, and guests to the Fourth Graduation Day – 2026 on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Auditorium.

The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri, on 15 August 2026.

The celebration beautifully reflected the values of unity, patriotism, and national pride, with the active participation and support of the entire college community.

The occasion brought everyone together to celebrate the spirit of our nation and honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters. It was a memorable celebration filled with patriotic fervour and a strong sense of national pride.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri, is pleased to announce the successful conduct of the “Association of Computer Science and Engineering – Special Event”.

The programme was honored by the presence of Dr. S. Ananth, Head of the Department, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Mahendra Engineering College (Autonomous), Namakkal, who delivered an insightful and motivating special address to the students.

The event was graced by Dr. V. Sumathy, Principal, Dr. A. Rubymeena, Vice-Principal, and Dr. A. M. Kalpana, Head of the Department, CSE, whose presence added great value to the occasion.

The programme included an inaugural session, a special address, prize distribution, a video presentation, and a warm welcome to the second-year students of the department. The sessions were designed to inspire and encourage students toward academic excellence and professional growth.

We also acknowledge the dedicated efforts of Mrs. R. Narmatha, Assistant Professor, CSE, who served as the Coordinator and played a key role in the successful organization of the event.

The programme concluded on a highly positive note, leaving students inspired and enriched with valuable knowledge and motivation for their future endeavors.

Students of Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri participated in the Drug-Free Pledge on 11 August 2026, reaffirming their commitment to staying away from drugs and promoting a healthy, safe, and drug-free society.

The pledge-taking programme was conducted as part of the broader Drug-Free Tamil Nadu awareness initiative, which encourages students and educational institutions to actively contribute towards preventing drug abuse and creating awareness among young people.

The enthusiastic participation of the students reflects the college community’s commitment to responsible citizenship, healthy living, and a drug-free campus.

Her achievement is a wonderful example of balancing academic pursuits with creativity and literary talent. Through her published work, she has demonstrated her passion for Tamil literature and her ability to express thoughts and emotions through writing.

Government College of Engineering, Dharmapuri has achieved a significant milestone by securing Second Position, in the NPTEL Local Chapter performance among 11 Government Engineering Colleges in Tamil Nadu.

The institution has also been recognized by SWAYAM–NPTEL, IIT Madras as an Active Local Chapter under the "Aspirant" category (January–April 2026). This recognition is awarded to institutions demonstrating excellent participation and performance in NPTEL online certification courses.

This remarkable achievement reflects the dedicated efforts of Mr. S. Nirmalkumar, NPTEL SPOC (Single Point of Contact), whose continuous guidance and coordination have encouraged students to actively enroll in and successfully complete NPTEL certification courses.

The recognition was awarded based on the institution's outstanding performance, including:

• 101–500 registered learners
• More than 75% learner participation
• More than 50% certification rate
